Homecoming Weekend | September 27th-29th, 2024

This Homecoming, we celebrated 50 years of women's rowing at Washington College. In honor of this milestone, we launched an effort to raise $50,000 for a new rowing shell, which was named to honor the tradition of the Washington College Women's Rowing Team, calling it "On the Shore Since '74."

The women's rowing program at Washington College has flourished with 15 All-Americans since 1999 and significant achievements under current Head Coach Kari Hughes, a three-time Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Coach of the Year (2017, 2019, 2021). Over the last 15 seasons, the team has won 11 MARC Championships and seen numerous athletes earn All-Conference and National Scholar-Athlete honors. Nationally, they have qualified for the Division III Championships 9 times since the 2013 season, showcasing the continuing legacy of the Washington College Women's Rowing Team.
