Clayton Black.  Dr. Black's courses were difficult both in subject matter and expectations, but he had a way of inspiring debate, drawing connections between present-day and events hundreds of years in the past.

Fondest WC Memory

Graduation - seeing all my friends and family proud of what we'd accomplished and excited for the future.

Let’s Hear It for the Liberal Arts

Critical thinking and an ability to look at alternative points of view constructively are skills I had the opportunity to develop at WC that has served me well in my career.

Advice

Seek out opportunities to experience something new — travel, learn to sail, join a club, etc.  Make sure that at the end of your time in Chestertown you can honestly say you experienced more than just what the classroom had to offer.
