Major: Biology

I practice at Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute as a Glaucoma Clinician Scientist and surgeon. I perform clinical research studying intraocular pressure using home tonometry and fluctuation in diurnal intraocular pressure and the association with clinical disease worsening. I also study the outcomes of various surgical techniques and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. 

Favorite Class

Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy & Physiology was my favorite class. Instead of just memorizing facts, we learned the function and design of the different systems in animals and how these varied based on the functions. It helped me approach my medical education in a different way, to understand the function of different organ systems and evolutionary influences.

Let’s Hear It for the Liberal Arts

Washington College gave me a very customized education with close interaction with my professors. I still keep in touch with some of them, they played a huge role in my career.
