Major: Political Science
I work in Public Affairs and communications for a biopharmaceutical company, AbbVie.
Favorite Professors
All of my professors in the Political Science department: Dr. Oros, Dr. Deckman, and Dr. Prud'homme who made classes fun, were always very encouraging, and pushed me to try new things.
Fondest WC Memory
I was on the field hockey team and I have so many wonderful memories from my experience being a student athlete. A perfect fall Saturday winning a conference game on the Kib, followed by a tailgate with our families in the skybox and then spending the rest of the weekend celebrating with my teammates — there was nothing better than that!
Advice
Lean into the liberal arts education and try different things. Create relationships with your professors and alumni. I was able to get involved in several unique opportunities, including participating in Habitat for Humanity, interning in the Maryland General Assembly during my senior spring semester (working with a WAC field hockey alum), studying Japanese politics and supplementing that with a trip to Japan, assisting a professor with research.
