The College owns two guest cottages: Brown Cottage (200 Campus Avenue) and 210 Campus Avenue, known as the Adams House.
Washington College Guest Housing accommodates housing needs for visiting Washington College departmental guests and distinguished guests visiting the College for business only.
The Adams House is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom house. The ground floor features a living room, kitchen, dining room, den, full bathroom and master bedroom with a queen sized bed. Two small bedrooms upstairs each have a twin bed and a half bath.
Brown Cottage has three private bedrooms which can be individually reserved. There is a shared kitchen, living room, dining room, den and half bath on the ground floor. Room 1 is located on the ground floor. Rooms 2 and 3 are located on the second floor.
Room 1 has a king sized bed with an attached bathroom. Room 2 has two twin beds with an attached bathroom. Room 3 is a bedroom with one queen bed leading to a smaller room with a sitting area. Room 3 does not have an en-suite bathroom, but guests are assigned to use the upstairs hallway's full bathroom.
All guest housing reservations must be booked by an authorized employee of Washington College for a visiting guest on campus for college business. For guest room booking, please fill out the Guest Housing Request Form.
All guests’ stays must be paid through the host’s budget/department account. The cost is $40 per person per night.
All cottages include a kitchen with a refrigerator. The space in Brown Cottage is shared. Wireless access is also included.
Brown Cottage can accommodate up to six guests in three private rooms with shared space int the kitchen and living room area. Adams's House can accommodate up to four guests who would share one full bathroom (while there are two individual bedrooms upstairs, there is a half bath only and those guests would share the downstairs full bath).
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m. If early check- in or late check-out arrangements need to be made, please clear them with the Guest Housing Manager in Campus Events.
During normal business hours, all guest key packets can be picked up on the Cottage Key table outside the Campus Events offices in Bunting Hall, Garden Level. If a guest is arriving after normal business hours, it is the host’s responsibility to make other arrangements or take the guest’s key packet to the Public Safety office for pickup. Each key packet includes housing location, check in and check out time information, a key to the appropriate housing location and a temporary parking pass.
