Registration FAQ's

If your registration is not working, not to worry! There are several things that may be preventing this. Please open a ticket by emailing registrarFREEwashcoll  or by calling (410) 778.7299. Common reasons issues are:
- Health Services hold for medical information
- Business Office/Financial Aid hold for payment
- Registrar's Office hold for transcripts
- Issue with registration time
- Pending credits from a study abroad semester

If you're not able to access Self-Service at all, please reach out to the Help Desk. They are available via email at help_deskFREEwashcoll, by phone at (410)-778-7777, or in person in the basement of Smith Hall.
Yes! Students will be able to change their schedule until close-of-business on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will be able to make changes in Self-Service with the appropriate faculty approval. Incoming freshman will need to wait until they have gotten to campus. Then, they will submit add/drop forms to the Registrar's office since advisor permission is required for all freshman schedule changes.
Students can still attempt to register for a "closed" or "waitlisted" courses. Please be advised that not all courses allow this. Waitlists are typically priority-based, and students who have been added will receive an email. Questions regarding availability may be directed to the course instructor. Please make sure that you are not registered for a course that conflicts with the waitlisted course's time-slot, or are not double-registered for a similar course.
Please fill out the Independent Study / On-Campus Research proposal form (printable | interactive). It will need to be signed by yourself, the course instructor and the department chair. Once it has been completed, please send to registrarFREEwashcoll, or bring it in person to our offices on the ground floor of the Casey Academic Center.
Students wishing to earn College credit for internships (including off-campus research) must complete the internship registration form. More information about beginning your search for internships, externships and job shadowing opportunities can be found on the Internships page.
Students can now register for their Senior Capstone like a regular course. Make sure you've added the correct SCE section to your course plan before registering.
Summer course offerings have not yet been finalized. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Please reach out to the folks in the Business Office for tuition/billing questions in either semester. If your question is specifically about financial aid, please contact folks in the Financial Aid office. It may be helpful to contact the counselor who covers the part of the last name that you or your student falls under.

Community members are invited to enroll in or audit courses at Washington College. Please visit the Student Forms page and download the "Non-Degree Student Registration" form. Because priority is given to matriculated WAC students, community members can register once all current students have registered. For the Fall 2024 semester, this means that we will open registration to the greater community after Monday, November 11. In the meantime, Community members can look at the offerings in the Spring 2025 Course Schedule as well as the 2024-2025 College Catalog. Please contact the Registrar's Office with questions about pre-requisite requirements. To formally register, please submit a completed Non-Degree Student Form to the email below. To audit a course, please indicate on the form that you will be auditing the course.
