Student Opportunities
Expand your knowledge, and social circle, by pursing your interests outside the classroom. Participate in internships, research, clubs and other organizations, and more on campus, in the wider community, and abroad.
Find the Perfect Opportunity

Internships & Research
- Arrange your own internship experience through your own connections, or by tapping into the Center for Career Development’s extensive network.
- Educate others in the community while celebrating together at festivals and parties celebrating other languages and cultures. These events are often open to the community, including local high school students.
- Complete a Senior Capstone Experience (SCE), a research project on a topic of your choosing. The SCE is a research paper and oral defense.
- Research the cultures of countries speaking the language you’re learning. Cultural competency is an incredibly important part of communication and helps you avoid faux pas.
- Attend a conference and present components from a paper you’ve written, including your SCE.
- Create your own research project. Support, financial or otherwise, is available across campus, including through the Hodson Collaborative Research Program or the Cater Society for Junior Fellows.
